The Atmos Rail Cover (ARC) Solution provides safe, effective, Subtitle D-compliant spray-foam cover for your transportation needs. Applied directly on your rail car, the foam blankets the waste before curing into a lightweight, impermeable latex barrier that locks odors and litter in.  

No more slurries, mixing or even measuring. Just easy, weatherproof cover that sprays on in less than 3 minutes per car.

Long lasting protection

Once cured, the Atmos Seal 900 series foam barrier provides hardy, weatherproof protection. By adjusting the dilution ratios before application, ARC can last from two weeks to six months.

Regulatory compliance

The ARC Solution complies with both Class I railroad regulations and Subtitle D requirements for landfills for transporting municipal solid waste (MSW).

Flexible service model

There are two ways to get ARC set up at your facilities. The first is our typical service model. Atmos owns and operates the equipment and provides all the set-up, testing, equipment and preventative maintenance you need for a turnkey solution.

The second gives you the option to outright buy the equipment as a CapEx investment.

Sustainability

Like our Atmos Cover ADC, ARC is environmentally friendly. It’s biodegradable, safe to touch and contains no PFOS or PFAS.

Features

  • Save tons of space in your transportation. Unlike other alternatives on the market, the ARC Solution adds no weight to your railcar.
  • Foam cures naturally in a few hours. Depending on the weather, it can even cure in as little as 30 minutes. For quicker curing, generator-powered heat lamps can be added to your system.
  • Touch screen controls make operation easy. Avoid over-spraying with responsive, simple-to-use on/off controls.
  • Spray bar connects directly to the bulk storage tank. No constantly refilling a holding tank on the machine. Plus, the 7,000-gallon tank is insulated for reliable use all year long.
  • 20-foot-by-20-foot footprint to house the skids and equipment. This includes the bulk storage tank, the pumps, the compressor and the base’s hydraulics.
