This EPA-approved foam daily cover creates an impermeable barrier that locks down VOCs to meet all Subtitle D performance criteria. Once applied, it breaks down over time so you don’t have to scrape it off before accepting more waste the next morning.

The system includes: 

  • Cover material — The cover material, Atmos Cover ADC, is a non-hardening, protein-based foam. It expands 20-to-1 upon application to thoroughly coat your landfill’s waste. Depending on the dilution ratio, it can last from overnight to over a weekend.
  • Application equipment — Application is easy with our self-propelled tracked vehicle, the Pneumatic Foam Unit (PFU) 2500. With one tank, one person and about 45 minutes, you can cover a full acre. For smaller landfills, we also have a smaller unit.
  • Bulk storage & dilution solution — The BSD 7000 storage and dilution system is designed for bulk deliveries of Atmos Cover ADC and connects to the PFU 2500 with a single hose. The system automatically dilutes the foam concentrate and transfers the desired volume of diluted material to the PFU 2500.
